Abstract

Participants in the meeting under “Anatomy of Philosophy: Rejoinders in a dialogue” series considered the current state of research in the area of Soviet philosophy, the similarities and differences between the situation of 1920-1950s and the 1960-1980s in the Soviet philosophy, the differences and controversy between Russian Marxists before the revolution of 1917, the creation of the Institute of philosophy, headed by A. Deborin, Stalinism in philosophy, political repression of the philosophers, the revival of professional philosophy, the institutionalization of philosophy in the Soviet Union, the principles of philosophical education, the system of training and reproduction frames philosophers.
