Abstract

Various aspects of the theory of the “death of the author” are considered. The content of major literary and philosophical categories highlighting the incompleteness and inconsistency of the “death of the author” theory. Arguments are built that demonstrate the irrelevance of application of the theory of the “death of the author” to a real literary process.
