Abstract

The article is devoted to the representation of child’s image in the Russian mass visual culture at the time of the Civil War. The research contains a comprehensive analysis of 1917–1923 printed posters. The work involves various concepts of childhood. Changes in public perceptions of the child and childhood during the Civil War period are reviewed based on the empirical visual material.
