Abstract

The article continues consideration of altruism that was initiated in the author's previous work “General Biological Bases of Altruism”. Contemporary theories of human altruism and cooperation are considered in the evolutionary perspective. The article is a review of Russian and foreign theories and experimental results, devoted to research in the field of prosocial human behavior, its mechanisms and role in global evolutionary processes.
