Abstract

An attempt is made to develop a multi-dimensional approach to understanding the phenomenon of provocation in the sociological, psychological, political science aspects. The materials of the semiotics, linguistics, law are for this purpose used. The history of the use of the word «provocation» is traced It traces The history of the use of the word «provocation» as it is fixed in many dictionaries as well as descriptions of the phenomenon of provocation in the fiction.
