Abstract

The article considers panopticon as one of the sustainable social field models that nowadays cinematograph has carried out. An analysis of the European directors' films space structure makes it possible to identify an analogy between this space, on the one hand, and the structure of normalizing spaces postulated by J. Bentham in order to establish happiness and well-being in the society, on the other. By revealing the crisis of basic normalizing institutions, cinematograph declares the fiasco of the most important utopia of the Modern, thus, in its own way, confirming the Humanity.
