Abstract

The author disputes the thesis that scientific and technological development will create in the near future a fertile ground for the transition to communism. A number of technologies (AI, human genetic engineering, etc.), whose development and implementation in social reality just can't be stopped, could potentially lead to new forms of alienation. It has been suggested that the methods of combating alienation will go beyond existing concepts of an ideal social order.
