Abstract

The article analyzes the problem and thematic field of the 17th International Likhachov Scientific Readings "The Global World: Systemic Shifts, Challenges and Outlines of the Future" that were devoted to the topical problems of the development of the modern world and the growing trends threatening the existence of mankind. The main ideas of the presentations and the discussion were related to the assessment of contemporary threats and the challenges to the world stability, the discussion on the outlines of the world order in the 21st century and possible scenarios of the future of the Human and the humankind.
