Abstract

The anthropological positions of the two existentialist philosophers, Leo Shestov and Seren Kierkegaard are examined. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between the understanding of the religious faith and the interpretation of the person's position in the world. The author shows that in spite of the similarity of the basic conceptual ideas of both philosophers, the more detailed examination reveals the significant differences in both the method of constructing philosophical argumentation and the main conclusions and ideological positions.
